Brittney Bryant grew up in Memphis and has always wanted to be a meteorologist in her hometown. Brian Teigland, a meteorologist, had encouraged her to pursue a career in the field.
Bryant graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in communication and information with a concentration in broadcast news. After honing her reporting and writing skills at Mississippi State University, she earned a master’s degree in meteorology in 2014.

Brittney Bryant is leaving WMC-TV, with her last day on the air scheduled for April 14, 2023. Bryant is also leaving the broadcasting industry to pursue a job that will allow her to spend more time with her children. Her two sons are Camden and Austin. Her work hours in the journalism industry, however, do not allow her to spend time with her two young sons.

Brittney also participated in a storm-chasing course, where she learned how to forecast tornadoes in real time. Brittney witnessed an EF-3 tornado in El Reno, Oklahoma, as well as an EF-4 tornado in Bennington, Kansas.
