Dr. Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi aka Akumaa Mama Zimbi has been accused by an unnamed lady of using clever means to get money from the very people she is supposed to help (widows).
Akumaa Mama Zimbi is the Founder and Executive Director of Mama Zimbi Foundation (MZF), a non-governmental organization that seeks to empower and support widows through its Widows Alliance Network (WANE) project, and also involve in the issues of adolescents (Adolescents Sexual Reproductive Health).
She hosted 2018’s edition of the annual National Widows Alliance Conference (NAWAC) at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre (Pavilion B), La in Accra.
Based on this, Akumaa Mama Zimbi is noted in Ghana to be a caretaker of widows.
A young lady stands to claim that Akumaa Mama Zimbi is not who Ghanaians think she is. According to the lady, Akumaa informed a group of widows and elderly women in Bubusashie around North Kaneshie that she’s going to donate to them.
However, the lady said before the donations were made, Akumaa asked them to pay an amount of ₵50 of a special customized T-shirt before they could qualify to receive donations.
