The 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards was aired on Tuesday (October 16) with Drake, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, Beyoncé and late rapper, XXXTentacion all up for various honours.
Beyoncé and JAY-Z ’s bagged the first award of the night, winning the ‘Album of the Year’, with their collaborative album, Everything Is Love.
Cardi took home four awards out of 10 nominations, including MVP of the Year, while Childish Gambino earned the Best Hip Hop Video award for “This Is America.”
Drake, who got nominated for 11 awards, walked away with just one award for ‘Hot Ticket Performer’.
