How much is the most expensive wine you have ever bought? We have seen a bottle of wine worth Rs 5,000 or Rs 10,000 but do you
know that there are even bottles of liquor in the world which are worth millions. The wine producers of Tokaj the main tourist destination of
the European country Hungary have prepared a wine which costs about 28.41 lakh rupees for a bottle of one and a half litre. It is said to be
the most expensive wine in the world.
This wine is named Isensia (2008) and only 20 bottles have been produced so far of which 18 were released last year and since then it has
been considered the most expensive wine in the world and 11 bottles of this wine have been sold so far.
The special thing is that each bottle of wine is placed in a shiny black box which has a switch that makes the bottle even shinier and it’s
another special thing is that every bottle is different and is all made differently and special.
The expiry date of this wine is 2300 and this wine was prepared in 2008 which was packed in a bottle after many years and according to
Joltan Kovacs, the general manager of the company, ‘Isensia 2008 is considered perfect to be packaged in a bottle eight years after the
wine is produced’.
According to Jolten Kovacs this wine is made in the special season and about one kilogram of ripe grapes is used to make an equal
amount of a teaspoon and that is one bottle of wine is to be made and about 20 kg of grapes are needed for this. Its 37.5 cm bottle
contains three percent alcohol and it can contain up to four percent alcohol which is higher than other wines.
