The South African entertainment industry can testify to having an amazing 2022, as there were records of collaboration with international stars.
The music and film sector flagged South Africa to the world, and this was a result of consistent work over the years.
The likes of Thuso Mbedu, Black Coffee, Pearl Thusi, DJ Maphorisa, Nasty C, and many others rubbed shoulders with international stars.
In Music, pushing Amapiano to the world granted some of these artists the opportunity to connect with their idols.

1. Uncle Waffles
The South African DJ came to limelight following Drake’s endorsement in 2021, however her hustling spirit has gained her a space in the international level as she toured different foreign countries. She met with Chance The Rapper during one of her tours.
2. Thuso Mbedu
Thuso’s acting skill has gained her relationship with the likes of Viola Davis, John Boyega and many other American actors. She starred on The Woman King and The Underground Railroad.
3. Black Coffee
Not only did the DJ bond with international stars, but he was also the executive producer of Drake’s album which released this year. He performed greatly at different countries, internationally.
4. Trevor Noah
Trevor meets with international star yearly due to being the host of The Daily show. However, he linked up with Beckham in December at Qatar during World Cup 2022.
5. Pearl Thusi
The actress clubbed with actress Gabrielle Union and her family when they came visiting SA this year. Thusi also bonded with Kelly Rowland this December when was in SA.
6. Nasty C
The SA rapper loves to connect more at the international level which gives him the grace to meet with international stars annually. This year, he’s met with the award-winning Stormzy, Wale and Rick Ross.

Thando linked up with Kelly Rowland this year twice and they had an amazing time together. Thando also interviewed the American actress recently.
