On April 22, 1937, John Joseph Nicholson was born in Neptune City, New Jersey, in the United States. He began working at MGM Cartoon Studios after relocating to Hollywood as a gofer for numerous legendary animators, including Joseph Barbera and William Hanna.
His first film, The Cry Baby Killer, was released. The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, The Little Shop of Horrors, The Terror, The Raven, The Shooting, and Ride in the Whirlwind were among the latter productions in which he participated. He made his writing debut with Roger Corman’s 1967 picture The Trip, which was named The Trip.
