Marcus Rashford reportedly had his £20,000 Rolex stolen
Marcus Rashford is said to have been left “devastated” after a thief ‘snatched’ his £20,000 Rolex.
The 18-year-old Manchester United and England star went trampolining with family and friends earlier this week and asked a staff member to put his watch in a safe.
However, he forgot to collect it when he left Jump Nation in Manchester and, when the teenager realised later on and returned to pick it up, he was reportedly informed that somebody else had been given the watch after claiming to be a member of his family.
A source told the Sun: “Marcus is devastated by the loss of his watch.
“He bought it for himself and one of his first big purchases. He’s a sensible lad who has his feet on the ground. The Rolex was a treat to himself for his breakthrough season.
“What’s made it all the more upsetting is that someone has apparently pretended to be a family member to take it.”
A 22-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of fraud, it is claimed.
Rashford earns a basic £25,000-a-week salary after signing a contract extension until 2020 in May.
The United youth product was a revelation for the club last season, scoring nine goals in 23 appearances.
However, he hasn’t had much game time this time around following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has occupied the central striker role in each of United’s three matches so far this term.
