Suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, Babachir Lawal, this afternoon held a closed door meeting with
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential villa Abuja.
President Buhari today ordered Babachir’s suspension following allegations that he awarded fictitious contracts to some
companies using his office as the Chairman of the Presidential Initiative on the North
East PINE.
President Buhari today also ordered an investigation into the allegations. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is to chair the investigation panel.
Babachir while leaving Osinbajo’s office, refused to speak with state house correspondents.
