It’s great to have stay-in dates and movie marathons with your bae at home. Nothing beats that cozy environment which is so romantic and intimate.
However, there’s still a lot you’re missing out on if you don’t plan actual dates where you go for lunch, dinner or even a walk in the park together. It helps to change your environment occasionally which is a great way to keep the spark alive.
4. Surprise each other
Fun surprises are the perfect way to rekindle your love as a couple. It won’t even matter if the surprise isn’t costly because it is all about the effort you’ve put in.
A surprise can be anything from a chocolate bar and a bouquet of flowers all the way to a luxurious holiday getaway where you can reconnect. Whatever you do, don’t give up on surprising each other even if you have been together for years.
5. Let go of the grudges
Nothing kills a relationship more than grudges. They cause the bond to slowly decay and eventually, the love will die.
If you choose to move on from the mistakes you both made, you are deciding to let them go. Simply forgive and resist the urge to revisit the mistakes.
6. Go for a photo shoot
Taking photos as a couple can seem like a cliche and outdated to some. Even so, these corny couple activities actually draw you closer because it’s all lighthearted fun.
You can choose to add an interesting twist in your photo shoot by wearing funny costumes that bring out your personalities or stick to the traditional dressed up photo shoots. Years down the line, you will look back and reminisce on the fun times you shared.
7. Keep in touch everyday
Not every day will be magical when you’re in a relationship. Most of the time you deal with normal daily life which isn’t always exciting.
A simple ‘good morning’ and ‘goodnight’ text or call with the occasional checking up on each other during the day is enough. You shouldn’t let a day pass when you haven’t at least talked to each other once
