As per a study carried by dermatologists in Lombardy, Italy, 18 out of 88 coronavirus patients they examined in the hospital had developed rashes after being infected with the virus.

Another study carried out by King’s College, London also clearly indicated skin rashes as a major symptom of coronavirus. As per the researchers of this University, the virus first shows up on the skin for some people or those who do not develop other symptoms. They suggested that skin rashes should be taken seriously and treated immediately.

It is difficult to clearly state how the rashes in COVID cases look like as they are quite different from one another. Some experienced hives with rashes, for others it is like chickenpox or just flat and blotchy marks. It is difficult to clearly identify how the skin rashes would look like.
