The government has made an online publication on details of companies that got the government COVID-19 tenders.
The publication included information gotten from all provinces, national departments and over 70 public entities.
The government made it known that the information is in accordance with the directive issued by President Cyril Rampahosa.
Ramaphosa instructed the submission of full information on COVID-19 tenders by the departments. The information was submitted to a ministerial team convened by Ronald Lamola, Justice and Correctional Services.
The directive was instituted after there were claims of PPE tender scandal in Gauteng which was connected to high-ranking ANC officials.
When the claims ensued, Khusela Diko, presidency spokesperson and Bandile Masuku, Gauteng Health MEC decided to go on a special leave of absence pending completion of investigations.
