The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works in Nasarawa State, Jibrin Giza, was abducted by yet to be identified gunmen in the early hours of today Sunday February 16th.
Confirming this to newsmen, the state commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, said Giza was abducted by gunmen from his residence at Shabu, a suburb of Lafia at about 12:40 a.m., to an unknown destination.
His family members say no word has been heard from his abductors.
The police boss saysthe DPO in the area had already mobilised some officers and men who are on the trail of the fleeing abductors and their victims.
