The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) has urged its members to keep away from work for their own safety.
The union has tagged it: “Siyahlala Day of Action.”
Nehawu took to their Twitter page and beckoned on their members to action.
It said in order to defend their members from contracting the coronavirus, it initiated this as part of its programme action.
Nehawu further mentioned how their workers have been suffering so far as a result of staff shortages, insufficient resources, and inadequate health & safety regulations.
The union is in representation of about hundred thousand workers in the health sector.
