Presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu incurred the wrath of some Nigerians after he invited them to an event where he will be speaking on “Media and Democracy: Challenge of Journalism”.
The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity had shared the invite on Twitter with the caption;
Please find time to join us at the Barewa Old Boys Association (BOBA), 2020 Annual Leadership Lecture, where I will be speaking on “Media and Democracy: Challenge of Journalism”.
Garba Shehu was however tackled by Nigerians who called for the event to be cancelled as it could be dangerous and unhealthy.
