Taraji P. Henson has finally confirmed her separation with her 37-year-old lover, Kelvin Hayden.
The duo announced their engagement in May 2018 and they were set to get married in June 2020.
In April, Taraji and Hayden announced that they planned to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic.
She made the news about their separation known at a show yesterday stating that she tried all her possible best to make the relationship work but it was not just working.
The 50-year-old actress who is widely known for her role in “Empire as Cookie Lyon ” said they are not responsible for each other’s happiness and the best thing is to go separate ways and to work on themselves.
The rumour of their separation started off after Taraji’s 50th birthday in September when the NFL player failed to attend
Taraji said: “I am dedicated to the black man, you all. I just turned 50 and I mean, I had not said it yet, but it did not work out. I tried. I was, like, therapy. Let’s do the therapy thing, but if you are both not on the same page with that then you feel like, you are taking it on yourself, and that is not a fair position for anybody to play in a relationship.”
