A father has been arrested for making his 5-year-old son sit on a heated pan for allegedly stealing fish.
Police has arrested the father of the 5-year-old boy after he suffered severe burns from sitting on a heated pan in Oke Soppen area of Ijebu Igbo, Ogun state.
The Police were alerted by neighbours who reported that the father, Idowu Sikiru was about to kill his son, Segun.
According to Police spokesman in the command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, Sikiru also used the hot pan to burn the boy’s fingers and mouth. The boy has been hospitalized.
