When we enjoy the fruit of modern civilization, however, there are still some primitive tribes maintaining their old tradition elsewhere on this planet. Just take a look at these tribesmen who choose to live on trees instead of setting foot on the ground.
The Korowai people, also called the Kolufo, are the people who live in South eastern West Papua in the Indonesian province of Papua.Until the late 1970s, when anthropologists embarked on a study of the tribe, the Korowai were unaware of the existence of any peoples other than themselves.
Since 1980 some have moved into the recently opened villages of Yaniruma at the Becking River banks (Kombai–Korowai area), Mu, and
Mbasman (Korowai–Citak area).Â
Those people live in the forests where they depend on farming and livestock but they live amazingly because their houses are built on trees on top as shown in the photos.
The reason why they live on trees is that the houses are being built on top of trees in the forest so that they can find a way to identify who wants to attack them to fight him.
People are wondering how to get to their homes but children and women are said to be the ones who sleep on the floor and men are the ones who go to sleep in the house upstairs for security and their dogs will be taught to take care of them as they will also use them to manage their safety.

Korowai is a New Guinea languages spoken in eastern West Papua in the region of the Digul Riverand was developed by a German scholar.
