SA DJ Euphonik reacts to Casssper Nyovest rants on Nigeria versus South Africa music industry achievements.
Cassper revealed that West Africa is so gone ahead of SA music industry and he boiled his reasons down to the lack of support and ego among SA artists.
While the rapper made emphasis on the little international recognition given to some top SA music artists, Euphonik reacted saying the mentality behind global scene is faulty.
The DJ said there might be fact in some of Mufasa’s tweet but not totally in support.

Euphonik continued saying: “…sound like? They sound like themselves from the voice to the beats. Who does Busiswa and Moonchild sound like? No one else. That’s why they working with people who they don’t “compete” with. Euphonik sounds like deadmua5, Calvin harris etc etc so there’s no space for that globally because there are already people doing it at the highest level possible.
“If you have global ambitions, and not everyone does, you have to bring to the world music scene what it doesn’t have already. They can’t even say “you sound like” because already you’re not gonna last.”
“When the music is good no one can block it. You know that well and it’s the reason you’re so successful but what’s it gonna take for Refiloe to smash the international scene. Insane amounts of talent in SA with the wrong mentality for global scene.”
