Chicago Corporate Council has ordered Empire actor Jussie Smollett to pay the sum of $130k for the assault claim he filed with the police.
This is coming after he was cleared of all 16 felony count charges leveled against him few days ago.
A letter sent to Jussie Smollett reads:
“Over two dozen detectives and police officers participated in the investigation, ultimately spending weeks investigating your false claims. The Chicago police investigation revealed that you knowingly filed a false police report and had in fact orchestrated your own attack.”
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has called the ruling on the actor’s case a national embarrassment. He also revealed that FBI will review the case.
