Khanyi Mbau misses her first award ever as an actress for Somizi and Mohale traditional wedding which occurred last weekend, 28th of September.
At the Inaugural South African International Film Academy Awards, Khanyi bagged an award as the Best Actress in a motion picture.
Actor and director John Kani informed her about the award on Twitter.
“Last night I attended the Inaugural South African International Film Academy Awards. The house was sad that you were not present to accept the Best Actress Award in a motion picture. Congratulations.
Khanyi responded that she is disappointed for being absent to receive the award but she further expressed gratitude to John.
