Sarkodie trolled on twitter for receiving a fake award

Sarkodie is in hot waters on Twitter for receiving a fake award in the name of the United Nations (UN) and the Kofi Annan Foundation from one man identified as Dr Kwame Owusu Fordjour aka Dr UN.

The rapper received over the weekend a 7th Global Leadership Service for Humanity Awards from the Kofi Annan Foundation. He took to his social media handles to share pictures to his fans.

Winners of the award received a plaque and what looks like a gold urn. However, some slight investigation by social media users has uncovered the entire award saga as a scam.

When all were congratulating King Sark for his feat, there came an expose from a twitter user who seem to be more about this man who has for years been going about issuing awards to great personalities in Ghana.

The Tweep, with the name @elvinnicks, has branded Dr Kwame Owusu Fordjour as a scammer who is hiding behind the UN and Kofi Annan Foundation brands to give fake awards to celebrities and public officials.

After the news broke out that the Dr. Kwame Owusu Fordjour’s is a scam, thousands of netizens have trolled him for not being vigilant enough to see how fake this whole thing is.

According to scores of netizens, Sarkodie and those who received the awards should have been alert and vigilant enough to ascertain the cunning nature of the man in terms on his appearance, speech and overall disposition.
