The 21st Edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards-VGMA yesterday was successfully brought to an end in a grand style.
This year’s awards night was held 2 days unlike previous years.
The reason for this new directive by Chatter House, the organizers of this prestigious VGMA awards scheme comes as a result of the recent outbreak of the novel COVID-19 that has shuttered the global walls of trade.
To ensure proper obedience to the safety protocol rules laid down the government, the program had to be scheduled for two days so as to avoid further spread and ensure the smooth running of the event.
The event which was held for two days saw massive performances from top names in the Ghanaian Music Industry.
At the two nights of the awards day, fans were thrilled by songs from their favourite artists.
One of the important categories everyone was eyeing to see who wins was the Artiste of the Year Category.
Obviously, viewers at home and live audiences had itching ears to hear who will take away the enviable prize.
After all the voting by fans and organizers’/Judges analysis, Lynx Entertainment signee Kuami Eugene emerged as the winner of the Artiste of the Year Category.
A category that had the likes of Sarkodie, Medikal, Kofi Kinaata and Diana Hamilton all competing for the same honour.
There are lots of fans who are still in shock at Kuami Eugene’s win as the Artiste of the Year. They tipped Sarkodie over Kuami Eugene but unfortunately it never happened as they wished.
Some top music artiste in the country right now, namely Samini, Lilwin and KiDi have taken to their various social media platforms to congratulate the reigning Artist of the Year, Kuami Eugene.
