Social commentator and researcher, Cheta Nwanze says he was on radio ‘Nigeria Info FM’ to be precise dicussing the infamous Asaba Massacre and suddenly a call came in from NBC to shut him off and the program went off air.
According to him, ‘I was on air discussing the #AsabaMassacre on this show, & a call came from the NBC. “Shut the show down”. I’ve been kicked off the air.’ For those who don’t know, The Asaba massacres occurred in early October 1967, during the Nigerian Civil War. It was a battle fought over the secession of Biafra.
