APPLE has already named its much anticipated tenth anniversary flagship iPhone 8.
The “iPhone Edition” will go on sale after the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are launched, according to reports.
If true, the flagship phone could follow in the footsteps of the Apple Watch Edition, which cost around £820.
The claims were made in reliable Japanese blog Mac Otakara.
It said that Apple had already created several prototype iPhones with different features so that employees could test them out.
Apple is known for sending products or designs to different departments ahead of time, which could help isolate and identify leaksters.
Several industry experts suggested the tech giant is planning to release three versions of the iPhone 8.
It will come in a standard model, a plus-sized gadget and the high-end exclusive “Edition”.
This final model was tipped to feature a distinctive new design with a curved OLED screen, but without a physical home button.
Now it’s been claimed that Apple might not release this experimental version of the phone until next year.
“Apple has a long way to go before deciding on any one particular design,” wrote Apple Insider.
