Nigeria’s Super Eagles defeated Desert Foxes of Algeria 3-1 in a 2018 World Cup qualifier played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday.
After the match, it was celebration galore by the football fans who came to watch the match in Uyo and Nigerians across the country.
Some Super Eagles players also joined in the celebration mood as they posted photos of themselves celebrating the victory on social media platforms for their fans to see.
But for the captain of the Nigerian team, John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Onazi Ogenyi, the trio took time out in the dressing room after the match to take a joyous picture.
Onazi shared the photo on his Instagram page, writing, “All thanks to almighty God for the victory, really happy for our skippo @mikel_john_obi for his goal and my bro #victormosee it was really the grace of God. Big thanks to the energetic fans.”
