The hand of 15-year-old girl, Safiya Abbas, pictured above, may be amputated soon after she sustained serious injuries during a science practical in her school, Science Secondary School Miga in Taraba state, recently.
According to Rariya, chemicals poured on Safiya’s hand during a science practical in her school. The school management tried to manage the situation for two days and when there was no improvement, they contacted the girl’s parents who took her to the state hospital.
After carrying out some tests, the doctors said the only remedy available now is to amputate her hand.
