Uganda is getting it right! In honor of the International Day Of The Girl, Angel Tyra Muwaguzi was Chief of Uganda Defense Forces for 10 minutes.
The 8-year-old girl who is a pupil of “Train Up a Child Primary School,” took the seat of General Katumba Wamala and served as Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces.
The ceremony was organized by Ugandan wing of Plan International together with Gals Forum International, a local NGO.
It is part of the events the groups organized ahead of the International day of the girl child scheduled for 11th October.
The idea was to demonstrate that girls can perform duties that men do just as easily.
