A restaurant owner who refused to serve two Muslim women told them ‘all Muslims are terrorists’.
Footage posted online appears to show the women being turned away from Le Cenacle in Tremblay-en-France, Paris.
It has prompted a furious response online and led prosecutors to open an inquiry.
A source close to the investigation said the man and his family had been forced to leave their home to ensure their security.
In the video, one of the woman says: ‘We don’t want to be served by racists.’

The man replies: ‘Racists like me don’t plant bombs and don’t kill people.’
He added ‘terrorists are Muslim and all Muslims are terrorists. I don’t want people like you in my place. Now you know it you can get out’.
The boss later apologised for his actions amid social media calls to boycott Le Cenacle.
