Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th European goal against Bayern Munich to cap off what has been one hell of a goalscoring career and social media loved it.
The Portugal star showed just what a threat he can be if left unmarked when he was found in the centre of the box minutes into the second half.
The Real Madrid star was found by Dani Carvajal, with the forward expertly cushioning the ball into the corner of the net, out of the reach of Manuel Neuer.
It was Bayern Munich who dealt first blood in the first half, Arturo Vidal scoring a bullet header to give the German Giants a 1-0 lead.
Ronaldo obviously then cancelled the goal out with his calm effort in the second half.
Javi Martinez was also sent off during the second half, with Real Madrid coming forward to try and cash in on the man advantage.
Then, just when it looked like it was not going to come, Cristiano poked into the back of the net past Neuer.
With a 2-1 lead going to the Bernabeu as well as two away goals, Madrid can safely say they are in the driverβs seat.
Regardless, Ronaldo has only cemented his place in the history books.
