Police have arrested a wealthy ritualist, “Ifeanyi Okpoko”, over the death of a 16 years old boy, he used for Money rituals
Sadness, frustration, and pain, might be some word’s that could be used to describe the mood of Eziowelle community people, in Idemili North Local Government Area, of Anambra State
According to reports, Ifeanyi Okpoko a wealthy philanthropist who hails from Eziowelle community, killed one Chidiebere, a relative and used him for money rituals
The once quiet community status changed on the first of October 2017,when they realised they were accommodating a ritualist.
An Eyewitness reported that The deceased was playing with other kids in the compound of his wealthy kinsman that morning, after a while Ifeanyi Okpoko called him and sent him for an errand
They all continued playing and waited till evening and didn’t see him. The following day they heard that the deceased didn’t return home from the previous day.
That prompted some members of the community to mobilise and went to search for him at Ifeanyi Okpoko house. the boy was found dead, tied like a thief, hanged to a pole. Obviously, it was for ritual purpose
SensinIfeanyi Okpoko then made an attempt to escape, but he was apprehended and handed over to the police.
Meanwhile the family of the victim are still in shock and have petitioned the IG of police, they are demanding for justice
