Senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie has slammed Bishop David Oyedepo for criticizing the application of the Company and Allied Matters Acts (CAMA) in churches, following its signing into law by President Muhammadu Buhari on August 7, 2020.
We reported earlier that the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide who questioned the rationality behind subjecting churches to same laws as companies, averred that such laws were borne out of government’s jealousy about the prosperity recorded by the church.
Reacting to Oyedepo’s comment, Lauretta Onochie stated that as long as Oyedepo lives and operates within the entity called Nigeria, he will live by Nigerian rules and laws. She added that for Oyedepo to live by his own laws, he will have to manufacture his own country.
