Ashanti has joined the group of people who have contracted the deadly virus, Covid-19.
The star made this known on her Instagram saying she has tested positive for Covid-19.
The R&B artist was in shock as she said that she never thought that she would ever contract the virus.
Ashanti said: “Hey ya’ll, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I tested positive for Covid-19. I’m okay and not in any pain”
Ashanti was scheduled to do a “Verzuz” battle with fellow R&B artist Keyshia Cole and she said that she was open to doing it from her house instead.
Her fans took to the comment section to wish the star quick recovery.
Ashanti followed up with a candid video in which she thanked all her fans for the support she had received after she shared her diagnosis. She was still in shock that she contracted corona.
