Kelly Khumalo is deeply grateful to God that her romantic relationship with rapper Chad Da Don ended.
Opening up on a recent episode of Podcast and Chill with Mac G, the singer revealed why the relationship didn’t last, despite the whole mushy snaps and videos they shared on social media back then.
Kelly says Chad is an insecure partner and she couldn’t deal, so, she called it quit with him.
“That would have been the worst mistake of my life. Father thank you for saving me.” Said Kelly. “It would have been the worst mistake of my life and thank God I didn’t make that mistake. I would’ve been stuck with a man who is highly insecure and needed a lot of growing up to do. Who needed a lot of healing to do, needed a lot of self-love to do and that was slowing somehow being transferred to me,” she explained.
Well, it was not the same on Chad’s part, as he spoke about the split in early 2019.
“We split up but there are no bad vibes. Her husband-to-be is out there somewhere and I will also find my wife one day.
“I’ve been through a lot and Kelly’s love was medicinal… My heart feels sore but there is no pain God cannot cure. Kelly and I had a good run.”
“I’ve always had time for my spirituality and religion. That’s what brought Kelly and me together and that’s also what separated us. We’re just different people with different beliefs,” he added.
