DJ Fresh is excited and in awe as he gets to receive his flowers while still alive, as DJ Cleo reminisced on how the radio star helped him break into the music industry 20 years ago, after working with him for a short period.
Taking to Twitter, Cleo said: “On this day 20yrs I was about to leave home to start work at YFM as technical producer & mix dj for @DJFreshSA (the night before was my 21st birthday bash) later that year he gave me official entry into the music industry. Imma buy u a car just to say I THANK YOU (kea leboga)”
Reacting to Cleo’s tweet, Fresh teasingly mentioned the car of his dreams, and confirmed Cleo’s story to be true.
“Geez Bro! It’s been a journey & a half. From your Street bash 21st Bday party, to licensing your music, giving u a radio gig, breaking ALL your first hits on YFM!!! I am eternally proud of you, and your every single move & milestone!!! Love you bro!! Ps vintage Chevy.”
