The Restaurants Association of South Africa has proposed a plan to resume serving eateries in a proposal.
The proposal letter was sent to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The association suggested that the government should give restaurants the liberty to sell and distribute alcohol with valid liquor licences.
There are actually some areas with high numbers of alcohol-related trauma.
These areas should be given tougher restrictions or bans can be otherwise imposed.
The association further mentioned that alcohols should be served only if the customer orders a main meal.
Also, the customer will be limited to two drinks per meal.
The association then pleaded with the Presidency to consider its proposal so the industry can limit a job’s bloodbath.
