Mammoth crowd witnessed the funeral of four aides of Emir of Potiskum, Alhaji Umaru Bubaram, killed by gunmen on the Kaduna-Zaria Highway on Wednesday.
The burial was held around 10am on Thursday, at the Emirate Council Palace, Potiskum, Yobe State.
Six people were killed in the attack including two commuters. Several other people were also said to have been abducted.
Spokesman of the Kaduna state police command’s spokesman, Yakubu Sabo, who confirmed the incident, said that the monarch was at the Barau Dikko Hospital in Kaduna and was “doing very well.”
The emir and one of the traditional title holders in his entourage, Sarkin Yamma Potiskum- Alhaji Gidado Ibrahim, said that the attack occurred at Fandatio village, near Maraban Jos.
The command’s spokesman said investigation into the incident had commenced.

The bad guys had helicopter that brings armed to them and our security angencies knows about this but since it was an important person that was involved in this attacked, they less previlages common Nigeria man is no body. The rich elites and the flyers in the society travel in the air cause there is no banditry in the air. But be more aware off millions of life who came in mass to put you into public offices for you take comfort to creat policies that favours you and build an Estate for your selfs and your love ones. You have all the security with you and you can’t creat more for those who in the rural areas, this for you Mr politicians and all you who occupied public and social offices. At the end your fears will come to your doors even if it not today but I bet you as long as human survives in this society it most be a turn around in the circle.
