A bizarre news from Nigeria indicates that an unidentified woman has burnt the finger of her child who is believed to be three years old. The woman, according to the report took this extreme measure to stop her daughter who is apparently addicted to her ‘lollipop’ to put an end to it once and for all.
What is more shocking is the fact that the woman was advised by her close friends to carry out this strange ‘remedy’ on her child.
One Enemuo Nneka, a Facebook user first posted images of the burnt child’s images on her timeline and described as madness of the highest order. Lots of commenters on Nneka’s page are furious and have unanimously called for the immediate arrest of the heartless woman.
Whilst mothers are biologically and traditionally known for their intense love and care towards their children, the mother of this little girl and few cruel mothers defy this notion.
