Sakeliga organisation feels after the government granted access to everyone to operate at full capacity, the government is still trying to discriminate against some businesses.
The business group – Sakeliga now wants some amendments made on alert Level 2 regulations.
Piet Le Roux, Sakeliga CEO have said the decisions made by the government was not based on a specific rationale or reason.
“It does not make sense to tell sporting events to completely close, but you can tell casinos they can run at 50%. It doesn’t make sense to tell bars and taverns you can be at full capacity, up to 50 people, thereafter no percent, but you can fill buses and taxis to 100%. Theses are all incoherent. It is unfair by itself and unconstitutional by itself.”
