Somizi Mhlongo was at his mother, Mary Twala’s cleansing ceremony over the weekend.
The radio star shared photo of how he observed it and it was with champagne, matches and a glass of yoghurt.
He said the reason for using champagne is to elevate and fast-track blessings.
“At my mom’s. Cleansing ceremony for us since her passing. In the pic are my fav ingredients to my ancestral connection. Matches for imphepho. Umqombothi for the thirst of the downstairs. Champagne to elevate and fasttrack blessings.”
Mary does in July, and Somizi was left shattered, as she was a huge influence in his life.
However, the late star did South Africans proud with her feature on Beyonce’s musical movie, Black Is King.
Mary still bagged recognition and awards after her death.
