A bus got destroyed by fire on Monday morning in Durban.
It is understood that a mechanical fault prompted the bus fire.
The burning bus was seen outside a school on Inanda Road in Durban.
According to the Durban Metro police spokesperson, senior superintendent Parboo Sewpersad, the fire started in the engine at the back of the bus and eventually took over the bus.
However, no injury or death was reported.
“There were no injuries. The driver was standing on the side of the road while the bus was burning,” he said.
There was a slow traffic outside the VN Naik School as the bus which was consumed by fire affected the flow of vehicles.
