When it comes to sex, everyone has their likes and dislikes.
While some might prefer prolonged foreplay before they actually make love, others might just want to get into the act and wrap it up quickly.
Interestingly, a popular sex toy company in the UK conducted a survey named Sexual Happiness Study 2019 to find out ‘more about what sexual happiness actually look like to different genders, ages, and sexualities.’
And the researchers of the study have made some interesting observations.
Only seven out of ten women orgasm during sex
According to the findings of the study, while nine out of ten men orgasm during sex but only seven out of ten women reach the climax while making love. To arrive at this conclusion, the researchers have asked 3,000 people across the UK, US and Australia to tell them about how important a sexually happy life is for overall happiness and various information related to their sex life.
What women don’t want
Almost 30 per cent of female participants of the study reported that they hate feeling self-conscious during the act and for men their biggest turn-off is when sex gets over too soon. As per the study, other things women dislike while having sex include not having enough foreplay, not getting an orgasm and being interrupted. So, let’s look at a few things which can make sex a total bummer for women.
1. Not having enough foreplay
Not having enough foreplay before getting naughty between the sheets can be a big disappointment for most women. Foreplay is like an appetizer served before the main course. It’s really important to invest some time and energy in foreplay to make sex a pleasurable act for her.
2. Making her self conscious
Most people feel self-conscious about their bodies for many reasons. A woman might not be very confident about her body after childbirth or she might be a little bloated just before her period arrives and may not very comfortable about how she looks. And trust us when we tell you this—no woman would like to have sex with a man who makes her self-conscious. We are not asking you to give her compliments while having sex because it’s easy to catch a lie, remember. All you need to do is make her feel comfortable and love her for all her imperfections.
3. The narcissist
If you are one of those men who boast of their sexual prowess, you need to change that habit immediately. No one, especially a woman, is interested in knowing how good you are in bed or how many sexual exploits you had in the past. Sexual narcissism is a big turn off for most women.
4. Repeatedly asking about her orgasm
This is perhaps one of the biggest disappointments. With so many mysteries surrounding female orgasm and the innumerable tips flooding the Internet, we can understand a man’s curiosity to know if his lover has reached a climax or not. But repeatedly asking a woman if she had an orgasm or not, is definitely something men should avoid while having sex.
5. Drilling for the G-spot
A lot of men treat a woman’s vagina like an oil field and drills like his life depends on it to find the elusive G-spot! That’s the worst thing a man can do during sex. How deep a woman wants to feel her man inside her is a totally personal choice. Do don’t follow some free advice from the Internet and try to impress her with some uncomfortable deep cave exploits.
6. Treating her body like an unexplored land
The last thing a woman wants her man to do is to treat her body like an unexplored land. So, if you are an explorer, you need to use your skills elsewhere and not in the bed.
7. Imitating what you see in porn
For most people porn is their first source of information about sex. But not everything you see on the screen is applicable in real life. If you constantly compare your sex life with the sexual romp those enviable actors in porn films engage in, you are not only preparing yourself for a big disappointment but your lady love as well.
8. Listen to her
Listen to her when you are inside her. If she wants you to go at a particular motion or speed, respect that. It will make your job much easier. So when she says things like ‘harder’, ‘do it just like that’ or ‘take it slow’, be attentive and listen.
